The three day long DAV Cluster I Sports Meet inaugurated today at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur premises. Total 30 schools of DAV Regional Directorate, Zone-I participating in the Meet. In Kabaddi (Boys) DAV Unit-8 defeated DAV Pokhariput and entered to next round. Earlier, DAV Unit-8 defeated DAV Rajabagicha and DAV NTPC/TTPS defeated DAV Badamba. In the cricket match conducted at Sainik School, Bhubaneswar premises, DAV IFFCO Paradeep won the match by defeating DAV Pokhariput by 14 runs and DAV CDA Cuttack defeated DAV Kalinga Nagar by 111 runs and entered to the next round. Vikash Yadav of DAV IFFCO Paradeep and Devi Prasad Bhanja of DAV CDA Cuttack adjudged as the Best Players in the respective matches. During the events, the Regional Director, Dr. K. C. Satapathy, Coordinator of DAV Chandrasekharpur Indira Bhattacharya, Academic Supervisors among others were present & encouraged the young sports persons. The meet will be closed on 16th October 2017, where as the winners will participate in the DAV Zonal Meet. Likewise, Tridibesh Naik a Class XI student of DAV Chandrasekharpur emerged as the Champion in the Taekwondo tournament held at LR DAV Cuttack in 63 to 68 kg category.
