Bhubaneswar :- A successful sports person can over come all sorts of obstacles and even never stays back with his defeats, opined Arjuna Awardee Weightlifter Shri K. Ravi Kumar joining as the Chief Guest at the National Sports Day Celebrations at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar today. At the beginning, Shri Kumar offered floral tributes to Maj. Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary and advised students to follow his ideals to become successful sports persons in future. Shri Kumar also narrated his own struggle and his means of overcoming it through out his illustrious career. The Chief Guest honoured the budding sports stars of the school - Arushi Srichandan, Manish Kumar and Abhinav Mohanty. The Coordinator of the school Ms. Indira Bhattacharya and Academic Supervisors felicitated Shri Kumar on behalf of the school. The team of Odisha Skating Academy under the supervision of Secretary Mr. Partha Sarathi Jena  displayed spectacular performances. The HOD of Physical Education Durga Prasanna Dasmohapatra and teachers Anand Chandra Das and V. Vasudev Rao coordinated the entire programme.
