Belgium Hockey team at DAV CSPUR

The world cup men's team of Belgium visited DAV Public School Chandrasekharpur today. After arrival the players along with support staff were offered grand welcome by the students and staff of the school. They were taken in a procession with band music and odissi dance led by NCC cadets. The Principal of the school Dr K C Satapathy, coordinator Indira Bhattacharya and student representatives felicitated the guests  with garland and odissi pattachitra.The Belgium team also played a friendly match and danced to the tunes of popular Rangavati along with the students. The Captain of the touring team Thomas Briels and Coach Shane Mcleod spoke on the occasion and praised lavishly the rousing welcome they received throughout their stay.Both Indian and Belgium National Anthem were played. Students and staff exhibited visible enthusiasm to take selfies with the players. The team has signed on a hockey ball and presented as a memento to the school.
