Literature should be universal and progressive
Literature has a prominent role to guide the society. It should be universal and progressive and should touch the lives of the common people. The guests and panelists at the DAV Literature Conclave organised at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday opined unanimously. The great revolutions of the world are mostly influenced by the powerful writings. The present generation students should develop the habit of reading as well as writing, advised the eminent authors at the Conclave. School Chairman Sarat Chandra Mishra officially declared the Conclave open. Dr Sarat Chandra Satapathy, Dr Asim Ranjan Parhi, Dhirendra Nath Mallick, Dr Himanshu Mohapatra, Bijay Malla joined as panelists in both the sessions namely Role of Theatre in Literature and How to enter into world of Books. Alumnus Dr Santosh Biswal and Mitra Samal moderated the sessions. Among others, DAV Regional Director Dr K C Satapathy, DAV Kalinga Nagar Chairman Madan Mohan Panda, Principal I /C Indira Bhattacharya spoke on the occasion. The student- authors of the school were honoured by the guests. Melodrama, Mono acting and Shadow Play were displayed to enlighten the audience. Students also enthusiastically participated in the questioning session. Senior teachers Niharika Gantayat, Dr Daizy Rani Mishra and Jayashree Mahapatra coordinated the day long programme.
