All the students of Std. VII to IX are enrolled in one are other of these extra curricular activities.
Weekly classes are conducted by trained teachers of the school.
Selected cadets attend BLC and RDC Camps every year.

Celebrations and observations

Culture and tradition are the invaluable treasure inherited by us.
To acquaint with the diversified culture enriched tradition a number of tradition like Ratha Yatra, Diwali,Janmastami, Id, X-mas etc. are organized.
To create conscious and alert future citizen a number of observations like World AIDS Day , World Aged Day, Literacy Day, World Ozone Day, Population Day, Universal brotherhood Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Martyrs Day, Netaji Jayanti, Children’s Day, Teachers Day are organized.

Parents Day

Annual Day is celebrated as Parents Day. A variety of cultural extravaganza is presented by the students..

Sports Day

A culminination of the various sports and games events.
The finalsof various atheletics events, colourful mass drill by all houses and exclusive colourful displays etc. mark this event

Foundation Day

4th August is celebrated with pomp and gaiety as the foundation day.
A hawan is performed with mass participation of students and staffs.
Sweets are distributed.
Felicitation to the achievers - students as well as teachers.

Foundation Day Lecture by an eminent personality

The tradition of Foundation Day Lecturer started in the year 2002. The inaugural lecture was delivered by Prof. Pandav Nayak, the then Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University. In the subsequent years, Shri D. N. Padhi, Padmashree N. R. Mohanty, Prof. Chandrasekhar Rath, Shri Sartat Chandra Mishra & Dr. Kiran Bedi have enlightened the students and staff with their sparkles of intelligence and wisdom. In the year 2008, Shri Arun Kumar Rath, IAS Secretary, Deptt. Of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India delivered the 7th Foundation Day Lecture.

Our Innovations

Reading Day

First Thursday of every month - 11.40 to 12.20pm - all students and staff including group D participate in silent reading.
To bring back the reading habit back which is slowly dwindling.

Yoga

15 minutes of yoga every day from 1.15pm to 1.30pm to improve the concentration power. Some pranayams for a healthy living.

Class Room Library

To inculcate the habit of reading and proper utilization of leisure time.
A small step motivating the students to create home library of their own.

Class Room Assembly

An opportunities given to all the students to exhibit their talents in organizing and participating in activities like Group discussion, dramatization, role play etc. It is mandatory for every child to participate.

Class Magazine

A hand written magazine prepared by all students of the class displaying their creative talents, painting skills etc.
eguru :Latest Technology to teach in class room subject like - mathematics, science, history , geography etc. through multimedia for a better understanding of the concepts.

Seminar by students

Students of Std. XI and XII are encouraged to present lessons with power point presentation which help them to learn in a group and also collect information beyond their text books.

Interaction with intellectuals

An intellectuals like scientists, Writers , nobel laureates, Managements gurus, sports celebrities, national and international achievers, epoch making personalities are invited to interact with the students and motivate them to excel in life. The following personalities are visited our school.

Dr. Raja Ramanna, Noble Laureate Prof. Gerard T' Hooft and the first Indian Cosmonaut Wg. Cdr. Rakesh Sharma.

Prof. Yash Pal, former Chairman, U.G.C. Mr. Baldev Raj, Director, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Energy , Kalapkam Ms. P. T. Usha, Mr. Dillip Tirkey, Mr. Subroto Bagchi, Chairman of Mind Tree are among them who have visited the school for the cause of education during the last three years.
