The knowledge we acquire from the books acts like a beacon throughout our journey. Books can be treated as our eternal faithful friends, emphasized by eminent writer Sri Deba Prasad Dash joining as the chief guest at the Meet the Author programme commemorating National Book Week at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar on Friday. Sri Dash cited many stories from the epics and his own experiences and encouraged the students to read more books in order to fulfill their aims. He had also interacted with the students and passionately answered the queries. Principal I/C Indira Bhattacharya presented the welcome address and highlighted the purpose of organising the Book Week. Book Fair, Book Mark Design, Book Cover making, Book Review & Quiz were organised under the supervision of Pradip Kumar Panda, Chief Librarian of the School . Meritorious students, best reader students and teachers were also honoured. The Principal and Academic supervisors honoured Sri Dash during the occasion. C Jyothi compered the programme and Dr Debendra Kumar Pati offered a vote of thanks.
