National Sports Day Celebrated at DAV Cspur
Determined efforts bring success closer
Bhubaneswar - 29 August Students can achieve their goals with sheer determination and focused efforts. Disciplined students become successful in every aspect of life including sports, opined Olympian and Arjun awardee Weightlifter K. Ravikumar at the National Sports Day Celebration of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. Sri Kumar narrated his personal experiences and turbulent times to encourage the students. Principal of the School Dr Sujata Sahu emphasized upon the regular practice of sports by every student in order to harvest better results in academics. At the outset, floral tributes offered to Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary. The Chief Guest felicitated nationally acclaimed athletes Jagjit Pradhan, Sai Bebarta and Manyata Singh during the occasion. A Cyclothon, Quiz on Sports, Friendly Volleyball match was organised to commemorate the day. Coordinator Indira Bhattacharya, Academic Supervisors, Sports teachers Anand Chandra Das, Utpal Das, Pratibha Behera were present. HOD of Physical education Durga P Das Mohapatra proposed a vote of thanks.
