Books make a bright future
Bhubaneswar - 22 November Today a reader, tomorrow a leader can be well justified by present generation students. They must realise the importance of reading good books during the formative periods, opined the guests at the National Book Week Celebrations at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur Bhubaneswar. The Principal of the School Dr Sujata Sahu inaugurated it and appealed to the students and teachers to utilise their leisure time in reading for priceless benefits. During the week-long programme, Book Fair, Book Mark Design, Book Jacket Design, State Library Visit, Quiz, and Literature Conclave were conducted. Renowned historian and author Anil Kumar Dhir enlightened the gathering in an interactive session at the Meet the Author programme. Meritorious students of various competitions were also honoured at the closing ceremony of the celebrations. The Chief Librarian Pradip Kumar Panda coordinated it on both campuses of the School. Among others, Coordinator Indira Bhattacharya, academic Supervisors and language teachers were present and encouraged the participants. Many parents also visited the Book Fair with enthusiasm and purchased books of their choice.
