Bhubaneswar 4/9 : The knowledge and innovation derived from research activities should not be confined within the reach of a limited people. Rather it should serve the betterment to each & every section of the society especially the deprived ones  in order to get the true benefit of innovation, opined Sri Subroto Bagchi, eminent author and chairman of Odisha Skill Development Authority, while inaugurating the ATAL TINKERING LABORATORY at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur today. The present crop of students can bring a sea change in research and innovation with their determination and strong will power, he suggested. ATAL Tinkering lab. instituted  by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India under the project Atal Innovation Mission would go a long way in this context Sri Bagchi told the students and staff in a special meeting for the purpose. It is worth mentioning that a total 257 schools in the nation and 4 DAV Schools of the Capital City from Odisha selected for establishment of this ATL in the first round. The selected schools would get a sum of Rs.20 lakh in next 5 years to undergo research work on fundamental science, basically in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in an out of box approach.
The nearby school students can also utilize the services of the lab for their innovative research. Principal of the school Dr. K. C. Satapathy given the welcome address and informed about the basic objective of establishing the lab.
Among others, Chairman of the school Sri M. M. Panda, Chairman of DAV Kalinga Nagar Sri Sarat Ch. Mishra, Principals & teachers of different schools including DAVs, students of organising school & nearby schools  were present during the occasion. Coordinator of the school Ms. Indira Bhattacharya proposed vote of thanks.
