#) The project uses the concept of thermal imaging. It consists of a thermal camera mounted on a stick, which the farmer has to hold and traverse the field two times a day: morning and in the evening.
#) The thermal images rendered are sent to our database.
#) The project works on the principle that bacteria increase the temperature of the affected plant part by 0-1 °C.
#) The thermal images are then converted to a specific temperature in the backend.
#) The temperature is compared with the pre-specified and pre-calibrated “healthy temperature values”. #) Any deviation from the normal values are compared with the data fed into the database.
#) If the conditions for which a bacterial attack would have taken place are satisfied, a message is sent to the farmer warning him about what part of the field has been affected.
#) For informing the farmer, we developed two ways. If the farmer possesses an Android phone, they can be informed by our Kishan Know app. If they don’t then a regular SMS goes to their non-android mobile with the help of our gsm module.
#) For securing the product from being used by unauthorised people, we have used an RFID so that only the authorised farmer can use it.
#) Apart from informing the farmer about the bacterial attack, our project also tells them about the humidity and the temperature.
