Preety Rani Swain of Class VII and Abhinab Mohanty of Class VIII of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur emerged as the Champions in CBSE Cluster-II Athletic Meet concluded recently at DPS Sambalpur and selected to participate in the CBSE National Athletic Meet representing the state. Preety Rani stood first in 400 mts. & 800 mts. girls under 14 category while Abhinab stood 1st in 400 mts. & long jump in the same age category. Overall the school was declared as Group Champion in Under 14 Girls and Group Runners-up in Under 14 Boys categories. The CBSE National Athletic meet will be conducted from 20 November to 24 November 2017 at Allon Public School, Raipur, Chhatisgarh. The Athletes participated at the Cluster II events under the guidance of Mr. Anand Ch. Das, Sports teacher of the school. After returning from the event, the Athletes & the Escort teacher were felicitated by the Principal Dr. K. C. Satapathy, staff and students of the school and wished them good luck for the CBSE National Athletic Meet.
