CBSE holds National Khelo India workshop at DAV Chandrasekharpur

CBSE Centre of Excellence has conducted one day Khelo India National Fitness Assessment Programme for Physical Education Teachers at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur today. Joining as the Chief Guest in the programme Secretary, CBSE, Anurag Tripathy highlighted the aims & objectives of conducting this workshop to revive the sports culture in India at the grassroot level especially among the school children. Among others Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director, Skill Education & Training, CBSE, R. P. Singh, Joint Secretary Skill Education, CBSE, Dr. Praggya M. Singh, Joint Secretary, CBSE, Dr. Sandeep Jain, Head, CBSE Centre of Excellence, Guwahati, T. Mate, Regional Officer, Bhubaneswar joined as the Guests of Honour. The Principal of the host school Dr. K. C. Satapathy welcomed the guests with uttariya & pattachitra and thanked CBSE for choosing the school as the venue for the same. In the workshop emphasis was given on use of modern gadgets & technologies to identify and nurture the sporting talents at school level. Dr. S. P. Dutta, Uma Prasad Rao & Others joined as Master Trainers where more than 70 sports teachers of the state participated.
