Sharanya Nanda of DAV Chandrasekarpur to witness Chandraayan-2 landing along with PM Modi
Indian Space Research Organisation had conducted a nationwide Online Quiz among the students of classes 8 to 10 to mark the Chandraayan 2 success. Sharanya Nanda, a class 9 student of DAV Public School, Chandrasekarpur has qualified in the prestigious contest and invited by ISRO to witness the landing of the same at the wee hours of 7th September along with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a ISTRAC control room at Bengaluru. 2 Students each from every state as well as Union Territory are invited for the spectacular event. Sharanya answered all 20 tough questions correct based on space research within 10 mins. Sharanya is the daughter of Samir Kumar Nanda, a senior officer at NTPC, Kaniha and Sulabha Nanda. In 2017, she had got a commendation letter from the Prime Minister for her enthusiastic participation in Swachhta Mission. The Principal of the School Dr KC Satapathy and others congratulated Sharanya for the scholastic achievement which has brought laurels for the state as well as for the DAV fraternity.
