Only innovations can not solve all social problems
Students should involve themselves in social activities especially for the needy ones in stead of only focusing on academics, said Dr Amar Patnaik, Member of Rajya Sabha joining as the Chief Guest at the 31st Parents Day Celebrations of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur this evening. Dr Patnaik cited many examples from History and highlighted the contributions of greatmen like Gandhiji, Martin Luther king , Swami Vivekananda for the greater cause of the society. School should take the lead role in nurturing ideal citizens for our motherland, he emphasised. The Chairman of the School M M Panda presided over the occasion and the Principal Dr K C Satapathy presented the annual report of the school while welcoming the guests. Among others Padmashri Sudarshan Sahu, Suresh ch Mantry, headmistress Sanjita Sahu, Coordinator Indira Bhattacharya, Principals of other DAV Schools were present as guests. The exceptional achievers and toppers , meritorious students and staff were honoured on the occasion. A sand art depicting the essence of Madhusikta was the star attraction. School Leader Ipsita presented Vote of thanks. More than 1000 students exhibited cultural extravaganza to enthrall the 4 thousand parents till late evening.
