Bhubaneswar -- 24/ 12 Present generation students should learn the art of negotiating failure in order to have prolonged success, opined S K Priyadarsi, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack joining as the chief guest at the valedictory evening of the parents day celebrations "Navankur" of DAV Public school, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar on Saturday. Sri Priyadarsi cited many examples of current trends and advised parents not to impose their unfulfilled dreams on their children. Schools should focus on value education and impart the joy of giving ethos among the students, he observed. Among others, Padma Vibhushan Sudarshan Sahu, Dr Bijaya Mishra, School Chairman Sarat Chandra Mishra, DAV Pokhariput Chairman Dr Arun Kumar Rath, Suresh Chandra Mantri, DAV Pokhariput Principal-cum-ARO Dr Sujata, Diganta Patnaik joined as guests of honour. School Principal I/C Indira Bhattacharya presented the annual report of the School. Meritorious students, Staff and parents were honoured by the guests. Students presented enchanting cultural programmes namely Komala Gandhara, Chhatrapati Shivaji, King Lear and grace of Santa Claus. Teachers Rupesh Sahoo and C Jyothi compered the programme and Rosy Parija offered a vote of thanks.
