Annual Sports Meet concluded at DAV Cspur
Sports activities are essential for every student
Students should be encouraged to participate in all sports activities in order to keep them fit and fine, opined the guests at the Annual Sports Meet of DAV Public, School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar here that concluded on Tuesday. CBSE, Bhubaneswar Regional Officer K . Srinivasan and DGP, Fire Services, Home Guard and Civil Defence Santosh Kumar Upadhyay joined as Chief Guests at the Inaugural and Valedictory ceremony respectively. School Chairman Sarat Chandra Mishra presided over the function and Principal I/ C Indira Bhattacharya presented welcome address and achievements of the school. Among others, Mrs Upadhyay, DAV Regional Director Dr K C Satapathy, DAV Kalinganagar Chairman M M Panda, DAV Pokhariput Chairman Dr Arun Kumar Rath, Pratibha Mishra, Basanta Manjari Satapathy, DAV Pokhariput Principal Dr Sujata, DAV Unit- 8 Principal Ipsita Das joined as guests and encouraged the students. Mascot Olly was released on the occasion. Students presented spectacular House Drills, March Past, theme based drills and Yogasanas to enthral the huge gathering. Meritorious budding athletes, national level achievers, winners of friendly Cricket Match, best Houses were honoured during the ceremony. Sports Committee Chairman Pramod Kumar Patra and teachers of the physical education department coordinated the activities meticulously. At the end ,Academic Supervisor Kirtirekha Mohanty offered a vote of thanks.
