A persevered person sees opportunities everywhere and never waits for any outside support. On the other hand, successful persons inspire others through their deeds, opined eminent educationist and former Director of IIIT, Bhubaneswar Prof Gopal Krishna Nayak who joined as the Chief Guest at the felicitation ceremony for the achievers of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar here on Friday. Prof Nayak cited many examples of persevered people who left indelible marks. He also narrated the pencil approach of success and its various dimensions. The students secured 95% and above marks in AISSCE 2023, stream and subject toppers, position holders of JEE Advanced and NEET, All India Civil Services alumna Kasturi Panda and Sushree Suvangi Khuntia were honoured with memento, citations and other gifts. The Regional Director of DAV Institutions, Odisha Dr K C Satapathy joined as the guest of honour and advised the students to dedicate their success to the greater cause and avoid complacency in all steps. The Chairman of the School Sarat Chandra Mishra presided over the function while the Principal cum ARO Dr Sujata Sahu highlighted the all-round performances of the students in her welcome address. Among others, Padma Vibhushan sculptor Sudarshan Sahoo, Chairman of DAV Kalinganagar Madan Mohan Panda, Chairman of DAV Unit- 8 Santosh Kumar Upadhyay, Smt Basanta Manjari Satapathy, DAV AROs A K Bhoi, Ipsita Das, Principals of DAV Schools of the twin cities were present on the dais as guests. The guests as well as meritorious students had entered the function arena with ceremonial attire. At the end, Coordinator of the school Indira Bhattacharya proposed a vote of thanks.
