National Reading Month celebration at DAV Cspur
Books are the sources of endless enlightenment
Books are the most trusted friends and also the sources of immense enlightenment. Students should explore the best out of continuous reading, if not writing, opined eminent writer Paresh Kumar Patnaik while interacting with the students in the Meet the Author programme. It was organized to commemorate National Reading Month which spanned from June 19 to July 18. Sri Patnaik presented many stories and cited many characters to enlighten the audience. The Principal of the School Dr Sujata Sahu administered the reading pledge and appealed to the students to develop reading habits for a better future. Activities like book donation drive, slogan writing, Quiz on books and authors, dance drama, bookmark design, cartoon making, and storytelling were conducted to inculcate reading habits. Coordinator Indira Bhattacharya pioneered the activities. Academic Supervisors, School librarian Pradip Kumar Panda , teachers among others Dr S D Singh, Dr D K Pati, Purna Chandra Swain, Debabrata Das assisted in all activities.
